  • Go to your profile 
  • Click the circle + button that says “New” underneath it, which is located between your bio and feed.
  • Select the Stories you want to include.
  • Select Next
  • Edit/upload a cover photo and give the Highlight a name.
  • Click Add to finish creating your Highlight!

How to remove a highlight from your Instagram story:

Instagram Story Highlights are only temporary because you can always delete one individual Story, a group of Stories, or even an entire Highlight! 

By doing so, you can personalize your Highlights and continue to an external link make sure that they’re constantly current and available for both current and potential followers.

In only 4 easy actions, you can remove a certain Story from a Highlight:

  • Select Edit Highlight by clicking the highlight
  • You can deselect any Stories you want to take out of the Highlight by pressing the Done button.
  • Your revised Highlight will then be saved.
